Subscriptions
- Plans. What's My Dog? Pro is $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year (US prices; other countries are set by the App Store). It unlocks everything in the app. Your first twin card is free.
- Cancel. Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose What's My Dog?. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge.
- Refunds. Apple handles payments, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- New phone, or reinstalled? On the subscription screen, tap Restore purchases while signed in with the same Apple Account.
Tips
No match found
Use a photo where the face or dog fills a good part of the frame, in decent light. If there are several faces or dogs, tap the one you want.
"Looks like a mix"
When the breed recognition is torn between a few breeds, you get a mix. A clearer side-on or face-on photo often settles it.
No thought bubble
Thinking needs to see most of your dog's body. Step back so the tail and legs are in the picture.
The app hears nothing
Hold the listen button while your dog is making noise, and check that the app is allowed to use the microphone in Settings.
Camera or microphone denied
Open Settings, scroll to What's My Dog?, and turn them on. You can always pick a photo or video instead of using the camera.
Deleting your diary
Touch and hold an entry, then tap Delete. To clear the whole diary, use Delete everything in the diary tab's menu. Deleting the app removes everything it kept. See the privacy policy.
